Jewellery - the Perfect Christening and Confirmation Gift

The tradition of giving christening and confirmation presents is a very long one and historically was about giving children a good start in life. A small gift of money, or a valuable item was seen as a way to give that first start towards investing for their future.

The silver spoon was the most popular gift in the Tudor times but the Victorian had a whole range of presents which they considered suitable because they were all seen to be gifts of investment, especailly gifts of sterling silver.

Today we give all sorts of silver gifts from rattles and teething rings to tankards and cutlery and silver jewellery is the perfect present for girls. It is a gift which can be worn and enjoyed when they are adults. A classic silver bangle or traditional cross pendant is bound to be appreciated as a personal and touching keepsake.

On the day, a small pearl necklace or silver angel pendant would look perfect against a beautiful white christening gown or dress or maybe a silver and cubic zirconia bracelet or bangle which they can treasure and enjoy wearing when they hit there 20’s and onwards.

In our collection of crucifix pendants, we have introduced a new design which is perfect. This sterling silver cross pendant is simple in its design, micro-set with tiny cubic zirconias. Another great design is our Cathedral Cross Pendant which is a little more ornate - very pretty and perfect for the occasion.

If you don’t want to give a cross as a gift, you could always choose one of our beautiful angel wing pendants to watch over them instead? We also cute little angel earrings which would be perfect for newly pierced ears.
