Shipping and Returns

Shipping

From receipt of your order, subject to the item not having gone out of stock, we hope to be able to deliver your purchase to you within 5 days. We will e-mail you to let you know when the purchase has been dispatched. Please note that the credit/debit cards are debited as the order is placed. Payment by cheque will delay delivery as dispatch cannot take place until the cheque has cleared into our account, this may take up to 5 working days.

All items for UK delivery are posted Royal Mail signed for delivery free of charge.

We also offer Royal Mail signed for next day delivery before 1pm at a charge of £7.50. Please place orders for next day service by midday Monday – Thursday; we regret we cannot deliver on a Saturday or Sunday.

Please note all items delivered to a UK address will need to be signed for, on delivery.

 

Overseas

For delivery outside the UK, we use Royal Mail International signed for service. Delivery times can vary depending on the country, but generally we would allow 7 – 10 days.

Charges for Overseas delivery are as follows:

Europe – £7.50
USA/Canada – £15.00
Elsewhere – £17.50

All items will be packaged in Cavendish French branded gift packaging, as shown here, and will be further packaged for delivery.

 

Wholesale Customers

Charges for our wholesale customers in the UK are based upon the total value of items purchased and are as follows:

£0.00 - £100.00 = £4.00 (inc. VAT) or £3.33 (ex. VAT)
£100.01 - £500.00 = £5.95 (inc. VAT) or £4.96 (ex. VAT)
£500.01 - £1,000.00 = £8.50 (inc. VAT) or £7.08 (ex. VAT)
Over £1,000 = Free

Charges for Overseas delivery are as follows:

Europe – £7.50 (inc. VAT at standard UK rate) or £6.25 (ex. VAT)
USA/Canada – £15.00 (inc. VAT at standard UK rate) or £12.50 (ex. VAT)
Elsewhere – £17.50 (inc. VAT at standard UK rate) or £14.58 (ex. VAT)

Returns

Changed your mind?

We hope that you will be delighted with any jewellery you buy from us, but if for any reason you are not entirely happy, please return the item to us for exchange or refund. (Please note that refunds may only be made to the same credit or debit card as used for the original purchase.)

Please retun it to us unused, in its original condition and in the original packaging within 30 days of receipt, then we will refund you the full price you paid within 7 days of receiving the returned item. We are sorry that we will not refund postage and packaging costs.

For hygiene reasons, we are sorry that, unless faulty, earrings for pierced ears are not returnable.

Faulty Items

Although all items are checked for quality, very occasionally items slip through the net and in these instances we are happy to replace or refund any item. Cavendish French will refund return postage costs and replacement items will also be sent to you free of P&P charges.

Damaged Items

Cavendish French will not accept return items that have been damaged through misuse, neglect, accident or intent howsoever caused. 

Returning a purchase

To help us to deal with your returned item as quickly as possible, please E-mail us at returns@cavendishfrench.com  with your order number, details of which item you would like to return and the reason why.

Please make sure the jewellery is well packaged and protected – we would recommend bubble wrap and either boxes or jiffy type mailing envelope. We would suggest that all items are sent by Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery and that you obtain a certificate of postage which you keep as your proof of purchase. Regrettably we cannot be responsible for Returns that do not reach us. If the package is lost or stolen you are responsible for claiming compensation from the Royal Mail. Please note that recorded delivery does not offer compensation for jewellery.
