Turquoise jewellery and fashion items 'are on trend'

Turquoise jewellery is part of an ever-changing fashion world which keeps people coming back for more, according to a number of experts.

Vina Lambert, director of Vina by Pinaroo, told Jewellery Magazine, that she is opting for bursts of colour now, after having originally stuck to classic black and white pieces.

"We were looking for new ways to excite the customer. I've added colour to break up the look, such as with red, green and pink cubic zirconia, as well as turquoise and black onyx," she stated.

Gina Kougias, director of Sydney-based label Georgini, told the publication that gone are the days when people buy a piece of jewellery and wear it for the next 20 to 30 years.

"It's about the garden, love, the stars and the moon. There will be little heart-shaped pendants and some turquoise," she said of her new ideas.
Recently, the Daily Telegraph stated that people can bring a touch of the Orient to their home by buying a turquoise jewellery box.
