Summer is the season for jewellery and silver necklaces
Now is the time to go out and buy silver necklaces as summer is jewellery season, according to an expert.
Leanne Delap, writing for the style section of GlobeLife, said that while pearls go well with the winter's snow and rosy cheeks, there is a lot more skin on show in the summer crying out for less formal decoration.
"Jewellery is personal, talismanic. I have a big silver ring, an organic blob really … that I would never leave the house without. I have a stack of mix-and-match leather bracelets … for my left wrist and a stack of silver bangles … for my right," she explained.
Referring to silver necklaces, she said that a simple love knot chain was her favourite piece at the moment as it makes her look classy, grown-up and looks "top-quality".
Earlier this month, Eliza Scarborough, writing for the Femail section of the Daily Mail, said that silver necklaces should be used to complement 2010 trends.
