Silver watches 'an important accessory'

Fashion fans do not just wear silver watches to tell the time, they are also an important accessory, according to an industry expert.

Anna Nightingale, fashion blogger and student reporter for Fashionista, said that watches are as valuable to an outfit as other accessories, including silver bracelets.

She added that that there are loads of different ways in which watches can be worn to complement outfits, stating that she would buy a new time piece for each dress if she could.

"It is important to style it up with watches just as much as with any other accessory. So for example chunky watches with lots of crystals - statement watches - can be good as the main feature of a pretty plain outfit, skinny jeans and a white top," Ms Nightingale said.

Rachel Pugh, writing for the Weekender, recently said that a formal silver watch can look great with a power suit, while a leather cuff accessory could work well with sporty and casual attire.
