Turquoise jewellery could be becoming part of a trend which is seeing logos and hardware being replaced by less showy and more luxurious accessories, according to an expert.
Emma Sibbles, writing for the Daily Telegraph, said that silver brooches are currently on trend, with other jewellery items taking a back seat when these are worn.
She added that items such as these, which might show off turquoise jewellery, can be used as a safety pin to hold coats and cardigans, as well as dresses, together.
"This is an easy one to do at home. Just add a giant safety pin to chunky knits or fasten your coat with one," she commented.
Other fashion items which are currently stealing the accessories trend, include the "sexed-up wedge", which are replacing buckled up boots.
Recently, Angelina Jolie showed off how turquoise chunky rings could work when she sported a large rock for a movie premiere in Paris.
