Rose quartz jewellery should be chosen over cheap items

Fashion fans should always ensure that they are investing in quality items, such as rose quartz jewellery, instead of cheap products which have been found to bring people out in rashes and cause blisters.

New research suggested that coins, belt buckles and even mobile phones can bring out this allergic reaction when rubbed against the skin as all contain quantities of nickel.

It found that while many millions know they have to avoid anything with the metal, scientists have found that nickel binds to an immune system protein, which is normally used to detect harmful invaders.

Led by Dr Matthias Goebeler from the University of Giessen, Germany, genetically engineered mice were found to develop "contact hypersensitivity" when exposed to nickel.

Another benefit of choosing rose quartz jewellery was recently highlighted by Philstar.com, which said that it is linked to self-love and self-acceptance, which makes people more open to others.
