Rose quartz jewellery 'heavily associated with the heart'

People interested in feng shui have been told to invest in rose quartz jewellery as it is heavily linked to the heart.

A spokesperson for fengshui-natur-al.co.uk, said that the Chinese spiritual practice, which includes the use of rose quartz jewellery, can be used to bring prosperity, wealth, happiness and love.

"Rose quartz is a type of quartz which exhibits a pale pink to rose red hue. The colour is due to thin microscopic fibres of an aluminium mineral call dumortierite within the massive quartz," the representative added.

They went on to say that in the ancient Chakra traditions, rose quartz is associated with the heart, with the fourth Chakra controlling our unconditional feelings, thoughts, relations and compassion, "making this kind of stone the perfect remedy for love sickness".

Recently, Jill Anding, writing for nola.com, said that rose quartz has been used for many centuries by the Chinese for the carving of ornamental and religious objects, including jewellery.
