People should pick silver bracelets they are comfortable with

Fashion fans looking to pick a new outfit or silver bracelet should make sure that they are comfortable with their choice, rather than trying to stay on trend, according to an expert.

Jo Poole, the Dress Doctor, told the Clothes Show London that people are better off having good pieces, made from quality materials which reflect well on the communities which have made them.

"It's not about having new things and being on trend and it's not necessarily about keeping up with the neighbours. It's actually about you - it's about who you are, how you're comfortable, what your life is," she went on to say.

Ms Poole commented that people need to have fashion items, including silver bracelets, which allow them to feel comfortable in any situation, such as picking up the kids from school or going to a job interview.

According to figures from the Office for National Statistics, year-on-year, the volume of retail sales in May was 2.2 per cent higher than in 2009.
