Owners advised to 'get silver jewellery insured'
Owners of a range of expensive or cherished accessories, such as amethyst jewellery, have been advised to get them insured.
As small pieces of silver jewellery are not usually covered by content insurance policies above a certain value, getting a separate cover for these could be worthwhile, iPhone Insurance UK has reported.
Not only does the article point out that money will not need to be forked out in order to replace any lost or stolen pieces, but the insurance will probably also have a positive impact on jewellery owners, mentally.
It explained: "Most monetary experts agree that insuring jewellery is not that costly compared with the benefits and peace of thought it offers you."
The advice follows on from NFU Mutual's warning to homeowners to review their content insurance policies to ensure that any jewellery in a home still falls into the borders of it as a result of rising silver value, Money High Street has reported.
