Left hands can show off silver rings
Women looking to add sparkle to their accessory collection have been told that the silver rings that they choose to wear can signify a number of things.
Andrew Newman, writing for the New York Times, said that in recent years, the media has been full of stories which speculate on whether a couple is getting divorced based on the presence or absence of a silver ring on the left hand.
According to MySingleRing, women who are not married can wear a band on the ring finger to signal their availability, with a symbol of Mars or Venus on it.
"I am an intelligent, empowered individual and available to meet the same," is what the website claims silver rings can signify.
Earlier this month, men who are looking to treat their partner to a silver ring were urged to shop around in order to find the best bargain.
A guide written on Bankrate.com stated that specialist high street suppliers always charge more for silver rings.
