An expert fashion designer believes that people do not need to over-accessorise when getting dressed, with a couple of pieces of rose quartz jewellery enough to make an impression.
Emilia Wickstead, who has a degree in fashion design and marketing and her own private showrooms around London, gave the tip as part of her fashion advice to the Telegraph.
She urged people to make an effort when getting ready for any occasion, be it a formal evening or just for a walk over to friends, but not to go over the top to the point where the style is over-done.
Going for a certain look will naturally speak for itself, Ms Wickstead believes, meaning that wearing a rose quartz necklace or a turquoise ring should essentially be a choice made by the owner.
She said: "Jewellery is very particular to a person and I keep mine very simple – I just wear my grandmother's old ring and a gold bangle."
Other points that Ms Wickstead gave to wannabe trend setters includes sticking to a similar style so a person can use everything possible in a wardrobe and an all-season bag to go with that favourite piece of silver jewellery
