Cubic zirconia 'ideal for statement jewellery'

Statement items, such as cubic zirconia jewellery, can be used to make a designer outfit look "utterly unique", according to a fashion expert.

Marie Bertimont, writing for the blog section of SecretSales.com, said that it is "incredible" that something so subtle can make such a difference, adding that just wearing a ring, or even a bracelet, can change the image of an outfit.

"Imagine, for example, wearing a pretty designer dress that's bang on-trend for this season. Nude shades, a petticoat and floaty sleeves are a must. Now think how this look could be completely altered by adding a funky ring," she added.

The cubic zirconia expert went on to say that fashion fans can take inspiration from Mischa Barton, who is a style icon when it comes to wearing statement items.

Another star to look at for ideas on wearing cubic zirconia is Mary Kate Olsen, according to the fashion section of the Irish Independent.
