Chunky cubic zirconia jewellery 'a fashion statement'

Fashionistas have been told that small is not always beautiful when it comes to the wearing of cubic zirconia jewellery, with chunky rings currently being on trend.

The Times of India reported that fashion in present times is a lot about the display factor, which is why rings need to be big, chunky and high on bling.

"The one piece of focus jewellery that is in vogue today is the huge ring,” commented jewellery designer Alpana Gujral.

It pointed to a number of Bollywood stars, such as Shilpa Shetty, who have been seen "flaunting" big rings on their fingers.

Rajiv Arora, who has recently designed rings for Halle Berry, added: "For a woman, it's the visibility of the jewellery that matters, be it in a ring or a neckpiece."

Recently, the Messenger News said that statement jewellery, including chunky necklaces and stacked bangles are currently still on trend for fashion fans.
