Amethyst jewellery wearers need to 'ditch the bronzer'

Fashion fans who are looking to show off their amethyst jewellery this autumn have been told to leave the bronzer firmly in their makeup drawer

Karen Loraine, founder of The Makeup Box, said that in terms of making adjustments from summer to autumn, people should ensure that their foundations feel light to the touch, look natural and last for the whole day.

She advised those wanting to wear amethyst jewellery to adjust their foundation base a "shade or two lighter" as their summer tan begins to fade.

"For a subtle change ditch the bronzer and try a warm rose blusher to give your skin that healthy winter glow," she said.

Ms Loraine added that print eye effect makeup is also going to be on trend this year, which should match this season's handbags and shoes to perfectly complement amethyst jewellery.

Her words came after Grazia reported on the Chanel Couture show, which featured naked faces and simple red lipstick.
