Amethyst jewellery 'perfect' for the curvier woman

Women on the curvier side have been told that accessories, including amethyst jewellery pieces, are perfect for embellishing their outfits.

Alice Dogruyol, writing for the Daily Mail, recently said that accessories are "every big girl's secret", adding that she has cupboards and drawers full of scarves, belts, handbags, shoes and jewellery.

"I also adore costume jewellery and beads, although I can't say I subscribe to the school of thought that big girls should wear big beads. Thankfully, the statement necklaces that are in vogue this season are more intricate," she told the news source.

Ms Dogruyal went on to say that there are many pieces available for curvy women, including multi-stranded or ultra-long with precious stones, such as amethyst.

The fashion expert said that while she tends to stay away from bangles while working, a silver chain around her wrist is one of her favourite pieces, especially when she is looking tanned.

Recently, Mintel reported that items such as amethyst jewellery are still popular despite the recession as people look to treat themselves.
